Every SanDiegoBMX.com video ever made.
by Ryan Fudger | Dec 03, 2008 |
Not quite, but it sure seems like it. Once again, a huge, massive, adoring thank you to Bud Dickman for saving all of these and taking the time to bundle them up and send them to me. There’s a lot of random stuff here: complation videos, rider videos from the Dirt Bros website, random single clips that I used to throw up on sandiegobmx.com, some random edits from other people, and Andrew Callaci’s high school project video, Building Block. Some good stuff, some embarrasing stuff…it’s all fun, though.

December 4th, 2008 on 6:06 pm
holy shit Sean Yarroll! wow haven’t heard that name in a long time. Damn Fudger you use to have some street moves.
December 4th, 2008 on 6:50 pm
Haha, Sean is still around. I talked to him last weekend… We’re supposed to be working on a staff web edit here sometime soon, so I’ll have to gap to something to act like I can still ride, hah!
Gibby, I think the gap you’re talking about is in the sixth video down. Not completely sure, though.

Before there was youtube there were a few sweet websites where you could watch some videos, sandiegobmx.com was one of them. this shit kept me entertained in study hall back in high school for a long time.

Awesome Ryan. Even though those were put together prior to my days in San Diego, still brings back great memories of riding with all you gents. Myers will always crack me up…..
The pool in the third to last video, is that the one that we had to drive into the absolute middle of nowhere, then climb a mountain to get to?

Yeah, it’s in the hills of Orange County. That whole shallow corner is bowled in now…I haven’t been there in a long time, but I’m like %85 sure it’s still rideable. Come out…I’ve been doing my research on all the “new” pools from the fires.
December 6th, 2008 on 2:06 pm
Yeah, I haven’t ridden any pools in a while. Though bowls in cement parks are fun, they’re no replacement for the real thing.
We are on week four of winter already. LBC may be in my horizon this winter.

Do it, sissy.
Car is running pretty good…doing a track day with Bauer and Gary at Willow Springs on Wednesday.
December 7th, 2008 on 9:32 am
Back from the dead? I thought your fast-car days were over for your GTI…. Based on the pics I’ve seen on vortex of Willow Springs, it looks like a real fun course. I think the SoCal.:R guys have a few track days a year there. Have you done any road courses yet?
My R just surpassed 100,000 miles….the second I get a daily driver, then I’ll start considering track days for it. There’s a road course not too far from here. It’s not spactacular, but it’s better than nothing. Hoping to hit it up next summer.
You never answered my text from a bit ago. Your 70-200mm, f2.8 or f4.0? Big difference in cost, is it worth the extra stop? Reviews of the 4.0 are all great, but none of those people shoot BMX.

Ha good god this is golden…to answer someones question Chris Myers still rides and works at Santee Skatepark. Mountain pool in Orange is still ridable with the quarter outside of the pool as well. SanDiegoBMX was prime while it lasted now it would have to be LBC BMX BETRAYAL!!!!!!
December 11th, 2008 on 1:40 pm
Mine is 2.8. Just get the 4.0…I’ve never shot a BMX photo at 2.8, but it does help once in a blue moon.
Track day was amazing, but the VW is beat to hell now. 120mph around a turn was a new experience.
December 11th, 2008 on 2:10 pm
Glad to hear the track day went well. Did you do any instructor time or did you go at it by yourself? How did Gary and Jim do?
What do you have running in your car now, I forget if you were going back to stock or not.
December 14th, 2008 on 10:26 pm
bmx+vw’s= all my spare time. good vids.
December 15th, 2008 on 2:38 pm
Too much. I actually blew my turbo on the track day, so i’m forced to switch things up again. I’m thinking about making a blog post tonight about it, but it depends on laziness.
